閃「毒」無限．燦爛人生閃避球禁毒盃

 The event introduced the world’s first “anti-drug rule” dodgeball match, featuring a red “drug ball” symbolizing the lure of drugs. Players hit by the red ball are immediately eliminated, allowing over 400 young participants to personally experience the message of “staying away from temptations and firmly saying no to drugs” through competitive play. The event successfully combined sports with anti-drug education, creating an innovative model for community outreach.

The Asian Dodgeball Championships 2025 were held from November 20 to 23 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The men's team made history by winning the gold medal, while the mixed team secured the bronze medal and the women's team finished in fourth place.

The 8th CSIT World Sports Games was held from June 3 to 8 this year in Loutraki, Greece. The Hong Kong team won a silver medal in dodgeball, which was a newly added event in this edition of the Games.

The inaugural 2025 WDBF World Dodgeball Youth Open was held from February 15 to 22 in Calgary, Canada. The Hong Kong China youth dodgeball representative team swept the championships in the U18, U15, and U12 categories with an undefeated record.

Our Association held a flag-rising ceremony for the Hong Kong China youth dodgeball representative team at PLK Dr.Jimmy Wong Chi-Ho (Tin Sum Valley) Primary School.

The ceremony was officiated by Mr. Zhu Jianping, Director of the Sports Division of the Publicity, Culture and Sports Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Officiating guests also included Mr. PAT Kam Lung, Headmaster of Po PLK Dr.Jimmy Wong Chi-Ho (Tin Sum Valley) Primary School ; Mr. LAM Chak-fai, Co-opted Member of the Southern District Council, Member of the Southern District East Sub-committee, and Founder of Time In Charity Foundation Limited; and Mr. Fang Gang, Executive Director of the Hong Kong, China Lacrosse Association, among others, who attended the ceremony.

The Hong Kong Dodgeball Team of China travelled to Graz, Austria to participate in the 10th World Dodgeball Championship 2024. This World Championship has the largest number of participating countries and regions in history. The women's team defeated Australia to win the bronze medal, the men's team defeated Britain to get fifth place, and the mixed team lost to Australia to get fourth place.

The Association held a flag-raising ceremony for the Hong Kong Dodgeball Team at the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club.

The ceremony was officiated by Mr. Zhu Jianping, Director of the Sports Division, Publicity, Culture and Sports Department, Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. We were honored to receive flowers and congratulations from Mr. Yu Kwok-leung, JP, Chairman of the Table Tennis Association of Hong Kong, China; and we also invited Dr. Wong Wai-kwong, Chairman of the Clear Water Bay Country Club, Mr. Lee Chik-yuen, Vice Chairman of the Cycling Association of Hong Kong, China, Mr. Lam Chak-fai, Co-opted Member of the Southern District Council, Mr. Alan Chan, Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer of the Hong Kong and China Gas Board, and other honorary guests to attend the ceremony.

In the 2023-24 academic year, the "Inter-School Sports Trilogy" of dodgeball was launched for the first time, providing primary and secondary schools across Hong Kong with opportunities to participate in the New Talent Championships, District Competitions, and Championships. Based on the year-round results, an "Overall Annual Champion" title was awarded to one primary school and one secondary school.

The "Hong Kong Universities Dodgeball Championships 2023" was successfully held on March 16-17, 2024 at Hong Kong Baptist University.

The competition was funded by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) under the second phase of the "Pilot Scheme on Subvention for New Sports". All subsidised activities under this phase have now been successfully completed. The third phase of subsidised activities will commence in the 2024-25 academic year.

The association cheers on the athletes to boost morale, and commemorates this year's meaningful dodgeball world championships

"Hong Kong Dodgeball Junior Open 2023 Hong Kong Dodgeball Junior Open 2023" was held on March 18, 19 and 25, 2023 at the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong – Wu Kai Sha Youth Village, and the competition ended successfully

The entire event is divided into men's, women's and mixed groups, and there are 4 age groups, namely U9, U12, U16, and U21. There are a total of 9 groups available for participation in this year's event. There were 52 teams and more than 600 players participated in the first competition.

Funded by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, all funded activities of the first phase of the "Pilot Scheme for Funding Emerging Sports Activities" have been successfully completed. The second phase of funding activities will be launched in the summer of 2023.

2022 Hong Kong Primary and Secondary School Dodgeball Championship - There are 5 categories in the secondary school category, with 47 participating teams. A total of 564 secondary school dodgers competed for awards in cup and plate competitions. The competition was honored to be held in Sha Tin Methodist Secondary School, and the principal of Sha Tin Methodist Secondary School, Zhang Cuiyi, the president of the Hong Kong Dodge Ball Association, Mr. Brian Li, the founder of the Hong Kong Emerging Sports Association, Mr. Li Guangye, and the Hong Kong Dodge Ball Association were invited. And Mr. Lun Ziru, the training director, and Mr. Xu Qing, the executive committee representative of the Hong Kong Dodgeball Association, served as the award presenters. Once again, we would like to pay tribute to all the winning teams and players!

The Association sent 3 teams of 32 athletes to Edmonton, Canada, to compete in the men's, women's and mixed groups.

A total of 80 teams with more than 700 athletes participated in the entire event. The results of the event were satisfactory. Hong Kong teams in all groups achieved excellent results, and they have returned to the top three teams in the world since 2014!
