Referee Structure
⚠️ Important Notice: Due to the complete restructuring and update of the competition rules in 2026, any referees who have not completed the "Dodgeball Referee Refresher Course" and assessment procedures will be subject to penalties.
They will be unable to accept any law enforcement or work assignments for any competitions organized or co-organized by this association.
All referees are kindly requested to take advantage of the inaugural free training program and complete the procedures as soon as possible to safeguard their enforcement rights this year.
The Hong Kong Dodgeball Association's referee structure consists of three levels.
From the initial level C, to level B, to the highest local level A referees.
The retention or promotion of referee levels is based on the relevant regulations listed above by the Hong Kong Dodgeball Association.
This includes referee-approved competition practice and assessment requirements.
Remarks:
All level referee must be a member of Hong Kong Dodgeball Association
All referee need to submit the related information and record about referee duty
before 31st December every year.

Dodgeball Referee Refresher Course
Project Overview
Completing the "Dodgeball Coach Review and Refresher" requirements qualifies you to become an "Active Coach".

Complete the online test and pass with a perfect score.
Complete the renewal and license application process.
Plan Highlights
Annual rule updates and clarifications: Accurate interpretation of the latest revised rules of international dodgeball to standardize the penalty standards for local events.
Case Analysis and Experience Sharing: In-depth discussion of controversial cases from local and international competitions over the past year to improve referees' on-site response and decision-making abilities.
Enforcement Practices and Skills Enhancement: Through simulated real-world enforcement, enhance practical skills such as hand gestures, on-field coordination, and the timing of sounding the horn.
Active Referee Qualification
To maintain the quality of officiating in the association's competitions, certified referees must complete the "Review and Refresh" continuing training every year in order to obtain the "Active Referee" qualification for that year and be qualified to officiate and perform duties in competitions recognized by the association.
The three-step process to obtain qualification (Special offer for the first cohort: completely free):
Read the "Online Learning Resources" to study the newly revised competition rules, international enforcement standards guidelines, and selected competition case analyses.
Complete the "Online Test" and pass with a perfect score to take the new competition rules test in the online system (the number of tests is unlimited). You must get a perfect score (100%) to ensure that you have a thorough understanding of the latest competition rules.
Complete the renewal process by submitting the annual referee license renewal application within the specified period and verifying your identity and qualifications.
